Sung Hwan Kim er født i Seoul i 1975 og arbeider i Honolulu, Seoul og New York. Praksisen kombinerer video, musikk, fortelling, performance, tegning og arkitektur. Lyd og bilde utvikles blant annet i samarbeid med David Michael DiGregorio, kjent som dogr. Dirt in the Shape of You i Bergen Kunsthall 2026–2027 er kunstnerens første større presentasjon i Norge.
